Q: How do I make a reservation and rent an RV?

A: You choose which unit you would like to rent, call us to check availability at 716-952-9501. We agree on the dates, terms, and any special requirements you may have. Once agreed, you mail a check for 1/2 the rental to Jim Langendorfer at 3491 E. Main Rd. Fredonia, NY 14063. The balance to be paid in cash (no checks) upon picking up the unit on your scheduled day. A $500.00 security deposit is also required at that time.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to rent the RV?

A: You will need to bring a valid driver's license, car insurance card (I will make a copy of these), and the remainder of the rental fee plus a $500.00 security deposit in cash. In the unlikely event that you damage the unit, we will submit a claim to your insurance company.

Q: What can I expect at the time of pick up?

A: The unit will be clean, full of gas, serviced, and ready to go. It is expected that you return the unit in the same condition (minus the service, of course). I will provide you with an instructional session on how to use the various systems on the unit (electric, propane, awnings, etc). These are usually relatively brief (30 minutes), but we will spend as much time as you need to understand and feel comfortable operating the RV and it's various options.

Q: Will the RV have propane and how much does it cost if I use it?

A: Propane is "as is", meaning you are free to use whatever is in it. I do not maintain propane levels, so it's basically the "luck of the draw". If, when you pick up the unit, there is propane in the tank, you may use it and I will not charge you for a refill, however, if it's empty and you put some in for use during your trip, I will not pay for "left over" propane, either. The idea is that each customer puts in whatever amount of propane they feel they need and/or want for their trip.

Q: Are there specific days for pick up and drop off of rental RV's?

A: We try to have a Friday pick up returning on the following Thursday. Occasionally we can "bend" these days, but it becomes particularly difficult between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Q: Can I rent an RV for a weekend instead of a whole week?

A: Occasionally and only between Labor Day and Memorial Day can we do "weekend getaways" for a reduced rate.

Q: Can I rent an RV for longer periods of time, like a month or more?

A: The winter months are generally a little slower and I would be interested in talking with our snow-bird friends who like getting away for an extended time to parts South and West. We can more than likely put together a very attractively priced long-term rental package. Again, call us to discuss your thoughts.

Q: When is a good time to call to make reservations?

A: Again, please call well in advance to check availability. We have "regular" business hours and are rarely available during evenings or on weekends. If you receive a voice mail when you call, be sure to leave a message as I'm probably on the other line or out on the lot. You will receive a prompt return phone call.

Q: How far in advance should I make reservations?

A: Obviously, June through October are busy months. First come first serve basis. Your reservation does not go in the book until a deposit check is received. Events such as Jamboree in the Hills, the Watkins Glen Race, the big local NASCAR Races, etc. fill up quickly and well in advance. As soon as you have concrete travel plans, send the rental agreement with a check for half of the rental fees.
